what to bring

Here are some suggestions for what to bring the day of the Walk

Offline donation form – http://www.walkforfarmanimals.org/PDFs/Walk%20Donation%20Form.pdf

Water- In an effort to be conscious of the amount of waste generated by plastic water bottles, we ask that walkers bring their own water in reusable bottles for drinking the day of the walk. Please remember to bring adequate water and clean-up bags if you are bringing a dog. Leashed dogs are allowed at the Walk.

Appropriate Clothing– Temperatures for Berkeley in October average between 50-70F which can mean anything from a t-shirt toa sweatshirt.  Best to check a site like www.weather.com the morning of the Walk for expected weather.  Comfortable walking shoes, a knapsack/backpack or carrying bag and sunglasses are also recommended. Please note: the Walk will take place rain or shine and will only be canceled in the event of severe weather (tornadoes, heavy rainstorms, hurricanes, etc.)

Sunscreen- We will be outside with a fair amount of sun exposure both during the Walk and for the hour that precedes the Walk.

Cash- The silent auction will be cash only and there will be lots of great items so come prepared!

Offline Donation Form- If you have collected donations offline (not via the Firstgiving.com website), please bring the completed Offline Donation Form and any collected donations to turn over to the Walk Coordinators when you check in for registration.
